It's called *sarcasm*... rarely works on the internet, here's a clear example...

EDIT: Didn't mean to offend...

Good luck with your search.
Don't be offended. It's happened here. I remember someone was looking at a low priced Ruf a few years ago and came on here asking questions. A RL'er went and bought it and flipped it.

You're a good one, and 99% of us are good guys... but I wouldn't go thinking everyone on RL is an angel. It doesn't hurt to play your cards close to your chest.

That's why I said "generally."
I remember the RUF deal if it's the red one that was in Kentucky or someplace and a guy from Miami flew up and snaked it. I think they figured out that it was a misunderstanding...
I guess I was a little peeved by a guy with 3 posts accusing...

Yours must have been special ordered to delete the the standard C2S shifter and handbrake becuase they were defintely std equipment. Here is the factory brochure that describes all the equipment that came standard on the C2S (see the last paragraph on the left).

I was fortunate to find a Nb coupe with the aluminum shifter and ebrake, as such, my interior looks like an S, but my rear doesn't

Interesting, can't see why someone would choose the standard shift lever and brake lever over those. But one never knows unless the advertisement was premature on standard features?

Not sure how you can assume someone here bought it....I don't see that you posted a link or the name of the seller.

BTW hard to tell from the pic, but all 2Ss had a "Carrera S" script in the tach gauge.

With out question an "S".

Guages are OEM Techart, brake is leather as it may have been selected as an option.

You will notice that the "S" cars have a satan textured leather around the gauges and lower dash wraped to door panels.

Please let us know what your looking at next, as I am back in the market and we have the same taist

Whatever it is worth will be based on many things including what needs to be done to it.

I recently bought a 993 and whenever I buy a used car, it gets a complete going over with tune-up and maintenance items being replaced. I want to know where everything stands. I've done everything in italics so far.

Possible items and (Pelican) prices:
  • upper & lower valve cover seals - $52.00
  • 12 spark plugs - $63.00
  • ignition wires - $520.00
  • distributor drive belt - $6.25
  • 2 distributor caps - $135.00
  • 2 distributor rotors - $60.00
  • both oil filters - $25.25
  • 12 liters of oil - about $75.00
  • 4 liters gear oil - $40.00
  • air filter - $17.25
  • fuel filter - $17.50
  • 2 pollen air filters - $38.00
  • battery - $125.00

Almost $1200.00

Yes, I know you may not need the ignition wires, but it adds up and that doesn't even include labor. And yes, you can get some items cheaper elsewhere.

Don't be because I am a firm believer that when something bad happens, something much better is bound to happen to you around the next corner.

BTW, its black...it wouldn't be me. I hate black.
