If it's not for sale why is it at a used car store?

According to the salesman, they had an open house last week so the owner dropped it by for show.

Now that's a color you don't see every day. Very cool, and thanks for posting the pictures. I'm sure the owner enjoys it very much, although with those miles it does not get out very often.

I don't remember seeing that color ever before, but I too am diggin it. Interesting license plate too.

Gauge-cluster seals look to be seriously thirsty for some Aero 303, so simple to do yet makes a nice difference aesthetically... (Sorry, pet peeve of mine.)

I know this car very well...
I hope the owner doesn't mind a little info...
the BIG andial motor 3.8 twin plug, pss9s, every factory carbon interior option,
the whole chassis was painstakingly de-cosmolined (spelling?)
the underside looks as good as the rest... believe me!
I stopped by the open house too and I told the truspeed guys they should
have put this car on the rack halfway with the wheels off!!!
the owner is very detail oriented and if someone were to buy this car
it would be worth every penny.. alot of pennies.
Probably on the top of my list for best example of a nicely modded 993 turbo...

Wild color, sweet ride. Any hint as to what is the story behind the vanity plate? (FAKE ID) Does he work for the DMV?

Love everything about it and thanks for the background story on it. Would love to see it in person. Porsche could put that in their museum one day it's so nice and rare.

Damn.... now I wish I had looked under the turbo too. Thanks for the additional information. Truly a special 993. It just needs to be driven.

My first sports car was an orange '72 MGB. Perhaps that's why I am so drawn to this car. He has the hard back sports seats in it. I would paint the back orange to match the exterior and put some red seat belts in it too.

Why yellow calipers? Did they special order them that way? I'm assuming it is not an 'S'. BTW, everything is for sale .
Current value $90K? Anybody else have a guess?

mmm, I don't really know about the plate...
maybe it would give a cop a laugh?

Yellow calipers, I'm almost positive a factory option..

It's not a Turbo-S but these motors were rated about 580 on pump gas...
He always said it was too fast...

To be totally honest this car would deserve Turbo-S prices!!!

I think the Yellow calipers look better than the standard red. I would not be surprised if this car fetched 100k or better on the open market.
