Default WTB: Tow Hook License Plate Holder

Hey guys,

Anyone have this "Mower Deck Axle" front license plate holder for the 993 they are no longer using or need? Getting sick of getting tickets!

It hooks up to the tow hook in front as shown in the pic below:

Thanks!

Arrwin, do cops stop you because of this? Do I need to be worried about this as well? tx

Never been pulled over for it {{knock on wood}}, but have gotten a few tickets when parked however.

There is another post on the Inventiva Concepts one which is about half the price as the Mower Axle one. Don't know much about it as I live life on the edge (sans plate). I am sure I'll be looking once I get my first ticket.

Saw that one too, but I'm looking for more of a temporary solution (only when parked on the street) as I don't want something permanent as the Inventiva one appears to be. The tow hook seems to be the best solution - easy on/off, so I guess that's the price that you have to pay ($95 ).

I agree that $100 for a bolt, an aluminum plate, and a couple of screws and washers is quite steep! But that's the only way to keep the NY Dept of Finance off your back without permanently defacing your car

Arrwin,
I had them on both cars. Now I moved to PA and don't need them at the moment. Make me an good offer and I can ship them within 1.5 week as I'm traveling at the moment.

Wait... "they" can give you a ticket while parked without a front license plate?

How about sticking the plate on the dash? Would that be an acceptable solution?

Negative. I tried that and received a ticket for "Improperly displaying plate".

These are much better quality, imho. And they're about the same price.

You'd think of any city in the US, that NYC cops would have plenty of things to keep them occupied other than this chicken ****.... wow....

Hi I wonder if anyone has a picture of this License Plate Tow Hook Kit on their 993 to share? It think it would be my only preferred option if I needed to mount a plate.

Same price? I know two years has past since this thread but close to double the price now?
