Default Need Help with Part Number - Sunroof

Does anyone know the Part number/Name of the small black trapezoidal thing that flips up when the sunroof opens. It's toward the front of the car and is about 3 inches across. It has metal pins on either side.

I have the plastic piece and the small springs but one of the metal pins broke off. Any suggestions on a fix or replacement of the pin or the whole thing? Does that metal pin run the length of the part or are there separate pins on either side?

1995 993

Best Regards, Peter

No, close though. Those are the rails for the side. This is in the middle and appears only when the sunroof is open.

I believe its purpose is to guide the wind deflector down and into place as the sunroof closes. I didn't see it anywhere on the Pelican site.

I will post a picture when I get home from work.

Thanks, Peter

I see my problem now. It is the middle piece of part 21 (air deflector). I may have to fashion something myself - I don't want/need the whole thing. Too bad..

Thanks for the help tho-

Regards, Peter

Don't mean to hijack the thread, but I'm in the middle of a 993 sunroof repair for a broken cable. Should I replace both cables or save the $126 and just replace the broken one? Thanks

Axeman, Are you saying you have the middle piece in Part# 21 for $3.00? If so, I want it. Peter

To avoid confusion, here is a picture of the part. Notice the pin on the right is broken off. I may be able to locate the pin itself - any ideas. It is one inch long and maybe 1 MM wide.

Peter

Peter,

No part #21 is the entire sunroof wind deflector assembly. I carry part #23 which is the sunroof wind deflector hinge (2 Per Car) Part # 911 564 127 00
Hope this helps.

Thanks!
