Default Rennline pedals: Perforated or rubber grip?

I'm thinking about buying a Rennline pedal set for my car and I'm trying to decide between the perforated pedals or the ones with the rubber grip. I think I prefer the look of the perforated pedals, but I'm wondering if the rubber grip would provide better traction with wet shoes. Any opinions on which set is the better choice? Any grip issues with the perforated pedals?

I have the stock pedals on my 993, but have the OEM rubber grip steel pedals (w/dead pedal) on my AMG. I really like having the rubber nubs and it does help if your shoe bottoms get wet. I can feel the pedal easily and find it quick with the rubber. And my shoes don't slid around on them at all.

fwiw, if I get pedals for the 993, I'll be getting the rubber grip version.

I'd get rubber pedals and perforated dead-pedal.

I have perforated Rennline pedals in the 993, had perforated SRP pedals in my '94 Miata and currently have factory perforated pedals in my '02 Miata. I have never had poor traction with any of my pedals even when wearing dress shoes and even when my shoes were wet. IME, slippage with perforated pedals is a non-issue. Go with whatever type looks good to you.

I went with perforated for a few reasons. I wanted a specific gas pedal that wasn't offered in rubber grip, I have read about the rubber plugs popping out and they sell the rubber inserts if you want to add them later on.

I have only driven with them a few times but they are a huge improvement over stock and seem to have plenty of grip. Another benefit was that I have big shoes so I offset the clutch cover to the left and the brake cover to the right giving just a little more space between the clutch and brake and bringing the brake closer to the gas pedal (easier to roll the ball of your foot to blip throttle).

Just my 2 cents, either one will be an improvement.

I have the rubber grip pedals from Rennline and love them. My only gripe is that two or three times a year, I find one of the rubber grips rolling around on my track mat. It is very easy to pop them back in move on. Just a totally random thing and not a big deal. The nice folks at Rennline did include 6-8 extra when I bought the pedals so I keep them on hand in case one disappears. As far as grip, though, any shoes, any condition, never a slip.

i know 2 people that bought the rubber bumpers and pulled them out because they didn't like the feel of the shiatsu massage.
i have perf with no bumpers and have not had a grip issue

I've got the perforated Rennline pedals. No grip issues at all, even when wearing wet dress shoes.

I had the Rubber dots and changed them out for the perforated. I found my foot slipping off the clutch if there was any water on the soles of my shoes. Needless to say this made for some fun times at traffic lights.

+1 on the SRP pedals. http://www.srpracing.com/pd_993.cfm They are offering a 20% discount for RL members.

I have the "satin" finish for break and clutch pedal and took the gas pedal with double heel-and-toe expansion. This is not a good shot but you can barely see them

I went for the satin finish pedals with the rubber inserts. I rarely drive in the rain, so not really sure if they would be slippery or not, but after 2 years with these pedals, I am missing a few of the rubber inserts. In fact, I have toyed with the idea of just pulling out all of the rubber inserts. If I had to do it over again, I would probably get the perforated pedals, and skip the rubber.

I think I might have a pair of the brushed aluminum pedals from Rennline brand new in the box...i'd just have to double check - PM me if you're interested in buying them.

Thanks

Thanks for all of the replies. I think I'm going to go with the perforated pedals since I prefer the appearance and it sounds like they don't present any grip issues.
