Thanks everyone that came out. The weather was perfect. I decided not to take pics at this meet but I took my camera anyway. When I got there, I decided to only take some pics of people since I usually just take pics of cars. It's all about the people anyway, though the cars do rate pretty high too. )
One gent showed up in his 928 with 2 Italian Greyhounds
Here he is with his black 928 in the background
We got some people today that have never come before. 2 brothers came, one owned a 944 and his brother owned a 928, both from DC (neither car is in this pic, though)
Say hi
Here's "Mad Max". A spray painted black 944. It was really cool. Even the wheels were spray painted black. And who says Porsche ownership should cost a lot? I think he was the one that told me he spent $2300 on his car when he got it
And yes, you can be 19 and have had 2 Porsches already on a budget...(in the green shirt - 944 owner)
Even some wives came - hope they weren't too bored. They seemed to be having fun.
My new next door neighbor's came, too. They were the ones that sold the white 87 911 to the gent that came last November to our "Meet". They had fun looking at all the "loot"
He took a video of me while I was taking a pic of him.
Anyone looking for a cool 944 Turbo? This one was nice, as was the owner.
Mr Bock's supercharger got some attention today. He got there 30 minutes early, as did I so it was nice to catch up with someone I hadn't seen in a long time.
The creator of many cool things Porsche and non-Porsche related (the 993 clock, for one thing) In the background you can see the 2 brother's cars that came from DC - a brown/orange colored 944 and blue 928.
Some usual suspects
The owner of the sweet, silver 996 with aero kit (great talking to you both at lunch)
I must have missed out on this shirt when it was available
Not very safe, but what the heck. On the drive...
I'm kind of partial to silver 993s. Here's another nice one behind me, picture taken in my mirror as I drove.
And then in front of me
All my wife had to say when I got home was "Why were you gone so long?"
You know how we car guys get when we start talking after lunch after a Porsche drive...
Bring on the nice car pics if you have them!
Cheers,
Steve R

You were missed, as usual. We saw so many people out biking today on the drive part of the day. I'll be out there bicycling myself on pretty much the same route we took today, next Saturday morning.
Peace,

Hey...
Nice turnout for a Seaon Opener! Good to see everyone emerge after that long cold winter.
Look forward to the next one.. I've got another place in mind for viddles after the run.

Do tell! Where do you have in mind? When we passed California Tortilla and South Street Steaks at the corner of Rt 28 and Quince Orchard Rd I thought they would have been good too, and even cheaper

dcrasta - Fantastic pics and captioning. Ditto on all your comments. Isn't it fun to see your car in someone else's pics?
Great to meet you and your brother. Wish I had more of a chance to talk to you both.

Just a few pics from the meet. The last two are of a '53 VW. The owner lives on the same street as Neil (nsully), so I decided to drop in and finally meet him on the way back from the Rennlist gathering. He was thrilled to have someone stop by and chat about the Bug - he's owned it since '74 and gave me a ride in it. Fun!

I guess that's a good, "WTF?"?
My first car was a '66 Bug, so I've always had thoughts of finding an oval or split to restore one day. I made that fact very known to the owner of this '53.....
Cable brakes, non-synchro tranny, no fuel gauge, etc. Bare bones coolness.
