Default Radio Code

Is there a method by which to verify the code on a CDR-220? I bought one from a friend and want to verify before installation. Thanks in advance.

Hook up the CDR-220 power leads to a 12 volt DC supply (battery or clean power supply) and punch in the code.
If the unit powers on, your good to go.

Whether the code works or not if you have the radio in hand and have the serial number that can be read off the sticker, or by a button press combo on the display. The code can be found. I didn't have the code for mine and a quick e-mail to someone on another board with my serial number netted a return e-mail the following day with the code.

You can call a local dealer & see if they will look up the code for you. Some will charge for this.
