The going labor rate is a Starbuck’s triple Vente Latte. The Avenues GA400 exit 13 Starbuck’s is about a mile from my house. Hey ga993 save your self some dough…$$

$20 for filters and $60 for a case of Brad Penn and I'm good to go.
I guess oil changes are good therapy for me. Must be a little wierd, I guess.

I need to strike up a relationship with a local shop so I can use their equipment.

I have been using Motul oil for quite a while, Oil and filters cost me close to $250, if I sent it to the dealer adding another $100, i"ll stick with the DIY.....

Any idea how much one should cost today (5w30)? I dropped my car off for it's first oil change under my ownership and I was quite surprised by the final bill.

Whatever they charge, its not enough.... I hate changing the oil in this car... I spend more in cleaning up the mess...

5w30 in an air cooled 911....do you live in Siberia? You may want to do a search on the ZDDP requirements of these engines. Doing an oil change in a 993 takes probably three times as long as with my 911....and an extra filter so ya, it would be costly. Cheers and have a great time with her.

Whatever you paid, Times 2, as you will need to change it again, so you don't add too much wear to your motor. Who recommended 5/30? They are not to be trusted to work on your car.

I get Mobil 1 oil change and a place called Courtney Truck service - they are air cooler specialists in Minneapolis- for around 185. Not bad considering 2 filters, removal of under trays, right wheel, heat exchanger thingies- and a lot of oil!

^ That is a great deal. Just paid $290 CAD taxes for a Mobil 1 oil and filters change at VCM in Victoria BC Canada. A small German car service and sales business.
