If you're trying to save on something, save on rear wing. You definitely don't want to go aftermarket with splitters. They're urethane for a reason and that reason it they're low so they might get some abuse so when they do, they bend instead of cracking.

Also, IMO the aftermarket side skirts with the smooth finish just doesn't look right.

It is Mint Green, well done. Was 1 of 4 special colour orders for a UK customer.

Thanks guys, I sold the car last October to Tognola Engineering after a lot of work and expense to make it a RS Rep!

Still one of my favourite colours though

I read that the skirts were a cosmetic decision in black to give the illusion of lowering the look of the car.
The car looks ace, is that a Midnight blue hue?

To set the record straight;

The GT3 Tek RS Splitters are made of polyurethane and definately will not break if you hit a curb or driveway entrance.

The OEM RS splitters are PVC and can actually crack if overflexed.

Most other aftermarket RS splitters are normally fiberglass and will definately break/crack if you hit a curb.

Hey Joel, do you know if they make the GT2/RSCS splitters?

They do but like most other aftermarket suppliers they are fiberglass and don't like to hit solid objects. I have spoken to the engineer at GT3 Tek and he says the complex curve of the outer lip will not allow him to make a one piece mold for polyurethane and if he had to do it in multiple molds the cost would be prohibitive due to such a small market for those parts.

About 3 years ago I bought a set of fiberglass ones that were produced by MA Shaw and returned them once I saw how poorly they fit and how much work it would have been to make them fit correctly.

Thanks for the info Joel, I assumed all aftermarket splitters were fiberglass.

Anyone know of any place for best availability (and price) for the RS front splitter (right side)? Armadillo and fiberglass do not mix at 45 mph! Scratch one armored rodent AND one chin spoiler! UGH!

I purchased my set here. Great quality that can take a beating and very easy to install.

Pags...

Thanks. That might just be the best option. Pelican wants $470 (US), per side.

Cheers!

If you want to try fiberglass super cheap, here's a set for $175. No affil.
