Try Jim East Autobody in Orange. He has a huge following in the 356 community and his body repair/rust repair skills are fantastic. He fixed a very minor "rust bubble" and the front corner of my windshield (in the normal 993 location) and worked magic. I am SUPER picky--and his paint match was perfect.

Sorry to hear, but calling the police and being "not sure" if there are injuries is a absolutely what you need to do. I live on an intersection with a freeway onramp across the street. At sunset, it's easy for a car trying to turn left to get on not see the oncoming traffic. When I report these semi-annual accidents, I always tell them I'm not sure of injuries. Only way you'll get a neutral third party.

For those of you who think I might be overly paranoid, about 10 years ago a drunk homeless woman wandered in front of my truck (not anywhere near a crosswalk) while I was going 30mph. There wasn't much left of her.......... Statements from about 10 witnesses from both sides of traffic were given to the police. Damned if one idiot didn't claim I was barreling down the road recklessly.

Make sure to inspect the decklid hinges and the latch panel -- either or both might be bent, depending on what happened.

My condolences.

Thanks for the recommendations. Also, thanks for reminding me about the 993 rust bubble! Might as well take care of this too.

Yes, she was hot in a low-class Tapout fan kind of way...tramp stamp noted. :P But it didn't matter...I was truly pissed at her. At least she owned up to being at fault when the police arrived.

Jay, what a drag for you! I'm so sorry this happened.

I have to tell you that deleting your third brake light could possibly lead to a greater probability of this happening again in the future. Especially so if you travel much on the freeways.

I thought about that...perhaps I could mount one at the top of the rear window like th 96+ models.

Hope you get your problem solved. I remember the lawyer who swerved into me claiming because my car was lowered and gray she couldn't see it.

I had good body work done in Orange County as well while I was going to UCI, in my beater, which at the time was my beauty before buying an NSX. I would try to look through some of the exotic boards to find out what shops they use as the shop I went to did some very extra things to that car. I was the only Nissan at the time at the shop which made me happy. =)

I thought my Mercury Insurance shop did a good job, until I saw the overspray!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

BTW my Porsche was never involved in an accident before being stolen, these were past cars.

PDR won't work since it's so close to the fold. It will cause the paint to chip most of the time. However, you MAY get lucky. That's what I was told when I had a dent in a similar location. My guy didn't chip the paint, but he didn't fully eliminate the dent either.

looks like the paint is chipped, I would focus my efforts on finding the best shop you can.
