Default Rear-ended today...can a dent wizard fix this? Who in the LA area?

A college chick in a jacked up F350 rear ended my 993 today at a stoplight. "It's so small...I couldn't see it!"

What really makes me sick is that my 993 has all original paint, and I spent months looking for one without any paintwork. So much for that...or so I thought.

The decklid will need to be replaced, and I've been fortunate to locate an original paint Midnight Blue one located one at LA Porsche Dismantlers! I will pick it up in person to avoid damaging it. It's from a '96 so I can eliminate that ugly brake light bar too!

This leaves a small dent in the right rear quarter that needs fixing...can good dent wizard guys make this look passable? I don't mind a slight ripple if I can keep the paint original. Can you recommend anyone in the LA area that does this? I'd *really* rather not get the whole quarter panel painted due to this dent. Thanks for any advice.

Sheesh, I feel for you.

Yesterday I was in front of a jacked up H2 Hummer. What is with these things?

Man if it would have just gotten the decklid and not the 1/4 panel too it wouldn't suck as bad. Sorry to see this at least you now have the option for the split grill. Good luck with the repairs. Sometimes I hate even taking my car out.

I took my 993 to Jeff at http://www.beachcitiespdr.com/index.html

Nothing like what you have, but he did a good job. I was pleased.

Yeah, but it could have been a lot worse too. I'm glad I recently installed a PSS9 kit and lowered to RS height, otherwise it would have caused a lot more damage. Then again, maybe Brittany (yes, that's her name!) would have seen it and not hit me.

Didn't think about a split grille...hmmm...

The lazy police wouldn't come out to write up a report! I asked how we were to determine fault, and they basically said that's your problem. If there's no injuries, we don't send police. I said fine, my neck is starting to hurt a bit, please send the cops, so they came about 15 minutes later. I could just see little Britanny changing her story when telling her daddy about it..."he just backed right into me!" Is this something local to loony California or is this the policy of police everywhere?

While waiting for the police I asked the girl if she ever took her shiny, chromed, jacked up, tapout-stickered F350 off-road and she gave me a "are you kidding" look.

Ouch, that blows! Great idea on getting rid the towel bar and I like the idea of the split grill on a dark colored coupe like yours. Hopefully the whole experience will turn out for the best. Good luck, keep us posted.

..."he just backed right into me!"
That's why I keep a disposable camera (the kind with a built in flash) in the glove compartment of all my cars. Take photos before you get off the road and it eliminates 99% of the dispute. A cellphone works too but you'll need a flash at night.

I met a guy at Brace's who was doing all of his PDR work. I figured if he was good enough for Brace I should probably take his number. His name is Shawn and his number is 310-429-0360. Good luck with that!
