Default SPEED YELLOW 993 CAB PRICE/RARITY

Trying to do a little market research on my Speed Yellow 1996 993 Cabriolet. It's basically a 2 owner, 40,000 mile "garage queen" that's spent it's whole life in California. Now that I'm on the east coast I'm thinking of selling/trading for a coupe. Looking for information regarding production numbers of 993 Speed Yellow Cabs and where the market is at right now. In addition to it's showroom condition and new top, the car is unique in that it has over 20 options and the MSRP was $92,000. Any help is appreciated.

SY is a not so common color but not as rare and desired than light blue or green. I guess you truly need somebody who loves this color as many also prefer a not so bright color = attention ;-)

Post some pics, sounds like a cool car. My brother is kind-of looking at 993 cabs and has an interest in yellow/black. Any mods done? 6speed, right?

I do know that there are only ten speed yellow US 968 cabs sold 92-95. I've never seen production info for 993 cabs.

Brian, I'll post some pics tonight. 100% stock. 6 speed. Will pass any PPI...I guarantee it as I just had it completely gone through and spent $2k to make it perfect! Thanks!

Another here. Soon to have a proper running engine again............ (Though I think everyone here knows I would have bought this car for the price paid even if it was pink with purple polka dots.)

Ken (and other 993 owners) how come so many of you keep the US front bumperettes? The cars would look so much better with the longer RoW turn signal lenses.

I didn't build mine, and I couldn't care less about anything on a track/race car that is looks-oriented.

Finally got a picture loaded; I have another one of the interior which shows the yellow leather rings around the dials as well as several other factory yellow accents including contrast stitching on the seats...all of which is factory. Any thoughts on pricing this gem. I'll try and scan and post the original window sticker as well. Appreciate all the feedback I've gotten so far.

Looks nice!! Wish I was shopping. I didn't see any SY cars when I was shopping. I put my car in the "what did you pay" spreadsheet that is on here. I bought it in June 07 if you want to look it up. GLWS

Gorgeous car. Check out this thread for comments on price: https://rennlist.com/forums/993-foru...miles-39k.html. Note that Pastel Yellow and Speed Yellow are in opposing sides of the spectrum. I would say Speed Yellow commands a premium. Probably a mid to high $30k car. GLWS.
