Default Now Here's a Debate: RSR or Fister D Mufflers

I have read feedback on both and curious what others thoughts are on this topic of exhaust.

I have the RSR but I just barely prefer the FD stage III. I think the RSR sounds better from outside but the St III is more pleasant inside the cabin.

I love the combination of the RSR's and the motorsound airbox. Just right for me.

I also have the RSRs and motorsound and my car sounds great. I haven't heard the Fisters in person but it seems like everyone who has them loves them.

I find Fisters just a little too raspy for my taste. I've heard II and III on a friend's car. RSRs with motorsound are great. Add Chris' sport cats and you're set.

If my car were a street car, I think I'd go for the Fister III's and the DACH sport cats, at least based on the video that I've heard. I had RSR's with the stock cats and really liked them, though. No resonance and excellent sound but a tad too quiet for me.

Stock? Which, sadly, is what's going back on the yellow car in order to make sound at Laguna in a couple of weeks............

Both sound great, I have not heard them side by side. The RSR's I heard had a very nice 993 "burble" that im a sucker for.

My vote is for Supercups

I had RSRs and DACH x-pipes on a previous 993 and they sounded great. Would like to try the Fister IIIs someday though....

Has anyone done a dyno pull on Fister III's or RSR's and a DACH sport cat? I would love to get some more weight off the back of my car but do not want to lose any power in the processes.

I went from RSRs to Fister stage IIs. I like both, but the stage IIs gave me the little burbles and occasional "pops" that I was looking for.

I think the exhaust thing can get addictive,......I'd like to hear stage IIIs on a cab.

Do a search. Someone dyno'd this combo two of three years back IIRC. I seem to recall ~5HP gain. Alternatively, send Chris a PM.

I did a search before I got the x-pipe, 5hp and a little torque was what most people had gotten. I am more curious if adding free flowing gutted cans will take away the little power boost the x-pipe gave me.
