You need to search a bit on this subject, but I guess the most common vote here would be for one of the DACH (posted above) x-pipes and one of the mufflers from www.fdmotorsports.net

Personally, I have Dansk split flow 100 cell cats and factory mufflers. I plan to add mufflers at some point.

I have the Stebro x-pipe no cats with the Fabspeed maxflo mufflers. Nice rumble at normal speeds-but what a sound over 4k rpm. Its fantastic. Very quite at crusing speeds.
Under the model section click 993. They even have several sound/video clips.

I love my DACH x-pipe with sport cats. Great sound, less weight.

I still have the stock mufflers, and I would change them for something lighter, but I don't want to be too loud. The DACH sport cats are just right in that department. Still sounds like a 911, not a V8.

I have Robin Sun's version and an as yet uninstalled Dach Sport Cat. Robin's mufflers reduce weight by 4 pounds each side, and sound very nice above 3K RPM, and get better as you go.

Get Fisters. You can pick from Stage I, II or III depending on how loud you want. There are a number of sound tracks available to listen to. There is no droning like the Fabspeeds and you can easily send your cans or do a core trade. Darin Fister is very easy to work with and stands 100% behind his product - GREAT customer service and the price is right.

Fister Stage I was music to everyone's ears that heard my car. I am now starting to really miss the car.

After having experimented with various muffler/cat combos and options and having listened to countless exhaust systems in person, not to mention YT, the only way to go IMO is with Chris' sports cats and custom (ala RSR or Fister) mufflers. Cargraphic headers on top of that would be outstanding but probably overkill.

That said, bang for buck, LPMMs.

If you prefer listening to the sound system more than the engine, you might want to re-think sport muffler systems. Otherwise, you'll really need to crank up the "tunes". 993 Maineiac may have the right idea for you with just a stock Motorsound set-up.
