a lady who works in my office building was getting ready to pull out of our parking ramp. Like a dumbas_ she decided to back up because traffic was to busy. She backed into the front of my car (I was behind her waiting, too, to exit the parking ramp)
She then proceeded to take off. The only reason I ever was able to identify her was the fact that she had personalized plates. Otherwise she would've got away with it.

their own connections with the Washington State Department of Licensing and have requested and received 993,996,997 or 911 numerals
No connection at all....

FWIW, When you buy a car from a dealer you can ask them to get a combo of letters. Back in '98 when I bought the 993 I asked for 993 ??? and received the combo "993 JLN". JLN was just whatever they had with the 993 letters. The dealer can do this...dunno how.

There was a post a while back kinda similar and somebody had the 993 personalized plate from another state. I took a look at the online plate thing from WA state and 993 was available so I grabbed it.

993 is pretty unobtrusive to most folks but fun for enthusiasts.

gave up on them 20+ years ago. Kind of past meaning anything in CA.
Exactly my story. Been there, done that, lost interest.

Yes, the MD and PA PCA plates are cool. I guess we don't have enough PCA'ers in TN. Hell, we have plates for everything else here.

The other day I saw the movie Con-Air with Nicholas Cage. In it, there is a 65 Corvette with the licence plate: AZZKIKR.....I thought that was so cool! hehe

I grabbed my plate when it was not renewed. Otherwise, I would probably still be aggravating over it. Just like picking a name for a boat. And, I have re-considered a few times after passing someone at illegal speeds.

Were you driving your P-car? What was the damage?

In today's "progressive" litigious society, I decided that I know longer want anyone to know anything about me. No college license plate frames, no customized plates, no stickers, no nothing. I drive a beautiful Porsche, that paints a big enough target on my back. Better safe than sorry.

Nothing wrong with a little fun.

Though, it is a problem when your basketball team sucks......

Ed,

When my wife saw photos of the last NYENGFR, she saw your tag and commented on the reference to mythology on your tag....(Furies in Roman mythology were female, chthonic deities of vengeance or supernatural personifications of the anger of the dead.)...Now we know the real story!
