I have a friend (female) with a white Cayman S with cocoa interior. She is Asian so she calls her car Smore as she is the graham cracker with the marshmallow and chocolate.

I said if yours is Smore, then mine is Oreo as I am the white cream in my Black on Black car.

I got my car before my wife knew about it. Since it was white, I have name it "Harvey", from the invisable white rabbit of old.

Yertle the Turtle. My car is green like a turtle but I don't think Yertle in the story was actually green. If you know the story it's kind of a good reminder to be humble too.

We call my 993 racecar the "lead sled" since it weighs so much. We have a 993 for the street and it was named "the rat" by some of the techs at the local dealership as a joke. It is actually a pristine low mileage C2S.

My wife named my GR 993, "Thunder" because she thought she heard thunder when I started it in the garage. She then went further and reminded me that the old comic strip Red Ryder (by Fred Harmon in the late 30's and 40's...before my time) that Red had a black horse named Thunder. So, she calls the car Li'l Red Ryder or Thunder... both are appropriate considering the sound and color. Red Ryder was also a 1956-57 (not before my time) Western television series. You may remember the movie based on the the legendary Daisy Red Ryder Carbine, which became a father-to-son Christmas gift tradition as memorialized in the 1983 Jean Shepherd film "A Christmas Story."

Twenty years ago I developed 2 fly fishing flies that I called the Li'l Red Riser and Li'l Red Rider. I changed the spelling due to trademarks and copyrights.

I call the car Li'l Red.
