There is potential for some partial film lubrication at start-up although the loads are low. This could cause cumulative wear over a long period of time. I don't worry about it too much.

In any event, Matt's garage can be heated.

Really guys,

I drive my 94 C2 all winter long in snow and ice, we have had -20C / -4F for weeks here in Oslo now, the car starts right up in the morning and drives happily both short and long journeys.

No top-end rebuilds (98' miles now), no excessive oil usage, no heating or fogging issues, all is fine and dandy.

My only precaution a thorough weekly clean of undersides and wheel wells to get rid of salt and grime.

Santas sleigh;

Still looks good with some TLC and summer tires;

So, there you have it! ;-)
