My apologies if I mis-understood your post. Since you said the C4S "needs" to go, I took that to mean you need to sell it quickly.

As I said, I have a pristine C4S as well, so I'd love to see you get anywhere near $46.5K for it.

My experience is different from yours insofar as getting back money one spent on mods when one sells the car, but it's all irrelevant. Your car will fetch what the market dictates.

Again, good luck with that.

If I bought the car 2 yrs ago and was trying to get my money back, I might have trouble. The market is still decent on these cars - when I was looking people were all over this website telling others that one car or another car is worth 40,000 or 38,000, etc.....

One onwer cars that are very nice are NOT selling for 40,000 IMO. I looked all over.

There is ONE glacier white C4S for sale on autotrader right now with 37,000 miles on it - asking $55,000. I doubt that guy is selling it for $40k.

There are 12 C4Ss listed on autotrader from '96-'98 in any color - I think I counted one, maybe two priced lower than mine.

It always seem to me people try to de-value the cars.

I think my car was worth what I paid for it a few months ago and I don't think it depreciated in a few months.

It does need to go, but, I'm certainly not giving it away.

Jason, your car looks great! Very nicely done mods/upgrades to the car. Someone will be getting a great Porsche!

Spring is just around the bend.

Jason, stunning car. I remember thinking that when I saw the thread about your purchase a few months ago. The cheapest low-mile C4S I've seen transact was not ridiculously far off from your asking. I think your asking is reasonable considering miles, condition, color and mods but I would definitely consider offers. GLWS.

I highlighted and stressed that sentence because it is so true and utterly amazing how each and every car forum (not just here, believe me) has members who insist that current prices are much lower than what you can get excellent condition, low mileage cars for. Yes, there are times when you can 'steal' some amazing cars but that is not the norm. Special examples command premiums over the 'run of the mill' 4 owner used examples, and that premise just doesn't sink in with some folks. Great post and congrats on your new ride!

I will now offer $46,498 and not a penny more! Clearly you don't understand the complicated 993 C4S market fluctuations

I will now sell it to you for $46,502 - that is an increase of $1 from my initial offer to you.

Victoria Secret is having a sale, panties are cheaper now, which means when you bunch yours up and throw them at people, your replacement cost will be less.

Therefore, you can afford to pay me more for the car?

Anyone with GT2 fenders pays more!

it's sad to see you leave the air cooled group but i'm very excited that you replaced it with something you won't feel bad about tracking.

cheers to passing!

Jason,

I am now 68% sure I am buying your car.

Please fax me the service history and maintenance records as I will be buying the car next week when I'm home.
