Default E-Brake Handle install issue

Hi Everyone,

I just finished installing a bunch of parts that I got from Mark at FD Motorsports. THANK YOU MARK!
Golden Rod, RS Short Shifter, RS Shift ****, and Alum E-Brake Handle.
My good friend just installed a new lift in his garage which made the install really fun (the rum and cokes helped) as it was the virgin project with the new hoist.

Help from 993C4RS eased my newbie apprehension to wrenching on my own car.
So there were 3 of us having a great time while SolCal was getting pummeled by the current storms (hail and tornados). With all the help from friends and the great directions from Mark at FD Motorsports, the installs went smoothly.

The one issue I am having is with the E- brake light contact in the handle. After much time adjusting , we have the light going on after 4 to 5 clicks. I would like to have the light come on after the first click and go off when all the way down....!
How do you adjust this properly?

BTW - the Golden Rod and SSK really transform the car into a proper sports car shift action. Before the Shifter felt like my old VW, now if feels like a Porsche!
The New Shift **** and Alum Brake Handle does a nice job in finishing and brightening the "black hole" interior.

Looks good.

Next get the carbon fiber trim for the console switches, E- brake tray and door handles from Marcus B.

Then you will be all set.

Good Luck

That is about what I paid new. I asked LA porsche dismantler last month and they did not have any new ones and the used ones they had were pretty beat up.

Any advise on the e-brake light adjustment? :-)

Where did you get the E-brake handle from? I have the RS shifter and would like to match it with a new e-brake.

Thanks

The adjustment of the light is by moving the "contact piece" (item 3 in the parts catalog) so that it contacts the "contact spring" (item 8) at a different point. The wire running down the passenger side of the console connects to the bottom of the contact spring to turn on the dash light. When you see the ebrake you'll see that is is a simple adjustment. The contact piece connects to the back passenger side of the ebrake assembly. Very easy adjustment.

Oops. Premature post. I meant item 7, not item 8.
