do you mean programming a new key fob, or something else?
if you mean key fob, i just did that and will forward you the directions i used.
one thing i learned was that if you program one fob, your previously programmed fob no longer "has the code"
i had to repeat it a few times to learn to do all fobs consecutively / concurrently.
falling off buildings is easy (anybody can do that ), but you're right, FLYING off them is a bit more challenging.
be safe

Second would be evap replacement behind the firewall.
Third would be removing carpet.

I contributed back in 2010 on this thread but now have a newer much more difficult DIY.
A complete performance rebuild of the engine. Overall an engine rebuild is pretty straight forward. But when you go down the path I did (GT3 Parts, Aftermarket P&C's etc) The rebuild difficulty goes to another level.....
I also reserve the right to add again as next winter I think I am going to tackle the rebuild of my transmission

im glad this thread was bumped, it was a good read. I have a lot of fun to look forward to as my biggest PITA was getting the spark plug wire grommet back into the engine right side tin piece after doing plugs (~2 hrs of struggle with two people)

I guess I'll add.
Rebuilding the power steering rack was by far the worst diy ever. It's even more terrible to remove and install it. But, I'd do it again. The cost savings are immense here.

b) getting the carpet out
c+D+E+F+G+etc. getting the clue out ...
dont no how many liters of gasoline and MEK I inhaled...

I thought doing the clutch was pretty darned painful - did it in my driveway - would have been a lot easier with a lift and whatnot - but the car is stolen, so there will be no more 993 DIYs for me.

Installing the g64 after a rebuild (thanks Bill of Radar Motorsports). Problem was a lack of a lift and the engine was still in there....for those that know, it was....fun. Thankfully my Lovely Lady helped line up the infamous PIVOT SHAFT!

Yea, was searching for my Turbo S spoiler pain fest for anther thread and this came up.
Seemed worth bumping.
better than talking about wheel waxing or tire sizes.
Yes, I wax my car's wheels and use 235 - 40 X 18 and 295 -30 X 18 tyres on my GT3, as I did on my 993 4S, unless I could find good 245 - 30's
Cheers

Timing chain covers, only because I stripped the holes and had to learn how to use a timesert. Then I didn't learn my lesson and used the same torque wrench on the lower valve covers and stripped one of those too. Had to remove the heat exchangers to fit the timesert. All self inflicted.
Also funny story. the PPI revealed cracked plug wires and I basically rushed the guy along who was telling me about them because I didn't realize how expensive & difficult they were to replace, relative to other plug wire jobs. Anyways, I get home with the car and go to order them, and realized my mistake. Anyways it was doable but much harder than I expected it to be. Advice, pull the intake manifold & do plug wires and sound pad at the same time, both are cake with it out.

Hi,
I found one of my lower spark plug wire nicked and someone tried to cover with a rubber fitting.
Questions:
Do you know anyone selling one spark plug wire instead of a set?
How would you rate the difficulty/time needed level for the manifold removal?
My perception of difficulty levels.
. Engine removal 9
. 993 Oil change 3
. wheel bearings (a press needed) 6
. Rotor/brake pad replacement 4
. Engine disassembly 10
. Engine assembly 10+10+10+....
Do need any special tools other than documenting everything?
Anything else I should careful about?
Thanks.
