the offsets on those are not right for a NB. They are 55 and 62 for NB. (on 8's and 10's)

I would trade my RUFs 18" for a set of Gemballas like David in LA. Will the madness ever cease?

Take a look at the published weight before you buy. If memory serves the "Formula" is not a very light wheel.

Good point for those that are thinking about getting these wheels. I went from 17" Cup II wheels which were 38lbs front and 48lbs rear with tires mounted. The 18" TechArts are 46.5lbs front and 53.5lbs rear with tires. Although I have to say I didn't notice any difference in the seat of the pants feel on the street. Also have a couple DE events with the TechArts and I didn't notice any difference either. Having said that though, I'm sure a set of ultra-light wheels would be very noticeable. lol

That's why I fill my tires with helium.

Thanks for the weights...I thought they were pretty heavy, but they do look great!
I wonder what the raw weights are though...if you were going to compare them to other 18" wheels which are ALL heavier than 17's how much heavier do the Techarts come in at....hmmmm?

that's not true at all
for instance
BBS
MY02 996
8x18 996.362.036.03 ET50 20.5#
10x18 996.362.140.03 ET65 22.7#

compare favorably w/ say
964 Cup1
front 7x17 20.46
rear 9x17 25.96

considering that they are a wider and more capable wheel

you can feel the difference of ~10#/wheel, but for street use I wouldn't worry about it and there are lots of track guys that don't worry about it either.

Right, your point is well taken...I think what I meant to say is that perhaps a "typical" 18" street wheel is heavier than the same wheel in a 17" simply because it is bigger...but this is a big can of heavy worms!
I think for my purposes Techarts or similar would work fine since I track (DE)twice a year, maybe.

Even though the Techarts are heavier than hollow-spokes or the MY02 wheels, I've heard from a local 993 track junkie that they're very strong - he has a set on his 993 as track wheels.
