Cup RSR? I found a pic with a better view of the placard. This is what I think it says. The question marks are where my eyes and the image don’t have enough resolution.
1997 993 Carrera Cup 3.8 RSR
The 993 RSRs were normally aspirated race cars built in a turbocharged era. As a result, few were raced and therefore few were built, perhaps only 38(?) across 1997,98. Red was most unusual on these cars and this one is probably the factory publicity car. The RSRs had about 350hp, a six-speed gearbox, big fuel cell, roll cage, racing seat, and fire extinguisher. This chassis also has the rare cockpit adjustable front sway bar(?). This car was never raced and has just 1,475 miles.

RSR 993 was built in limited numbers ( 28) in 97 and was listed as a 98 model.
The last 993 Cups were the same appearence(as RSR)and often now called RSR ( incorrectly --but the spec may be the identical-just to confuse the issue)

Of the 28 built-- 25 were white ,1 x Black, 1x Red -- I am not sure of the other one but I did not think red.
On another thread last week a UK poster claimed a red RSR near him--- I have a definate red RSR near me( no where near the US or the UK) -so it raises a few questions.
Is there a chassis number available for the car shown?

Interesting but raises a lot of questions. Car shown may or may not be genuine --what month year was photo taken?

Here you go op. What do I win?
This car started life as a '96 or '97 C2 nb. Was whacked hella-hard when it was almost new (bad dealer lot attendant story if memory serves) and turned into a race/street car that saw some serious use. I almost threw the $$$ down in '08 but it was too hard core for my taste.
