Default Is clutch engagement point adjustable?

I just drove a '95 Carrera and found the engagement point on the clutch to be very high. It may be a sign that the clutch is due for replacement, but I wondered if it is possible to simply have something adjusted so that the clutch engages with less pedal travel. Any ideas?

No real adjustment for friction point other than replacing it. That is the only way I know of to lower it.
