Plug wire set (major pita) and lower valve cover gaskets with engine still in was almost 7 1/2 hrs and I just did the upper valve cover gaskets and 12 fresh plugs with the engine in taking about 5 hrs.

The OEM Beru wire set (dressed for a 993) is widely available with a street price range in the low to high $400.00. That's a Porsche dealership parts department competition- if it wants the wire sale is another story. When ask'ed if the Porsche dealership would be competitive with the OEM Beru wire set cost - the answer was "Yes, I want your business". ~ Lord knows I'm not the least bit interested in the nue Panamerican sedan. Present 997 or successor yeah...

From this 993 owners perspective a P-car dealership is just another business on the car industry food chain. The expectation for me going in is quality mechanical work which is competively priced - simple.

Yeah,,, I'm living in a dream world ~ "quality work, competitively priced".
