He is beloved by all 993 owners (as well as others) when he posts his infamous market guides in Excellence Magazine. By this time next year he will be telling us that we wil have to pay $$$$ for someone to take our 993's from us.

If the car checks out OK and you really want to own it for years and years then $30,000 or $31,000 is a very good price.

The title would be my concern.

As has been stated, odometer replacement in these cars is not unusual but it doesnt have to result in a NAM designation.

$30k sounds reasonable, but not a bargain.$25-26k is a steal. I doubt you are going to get him down that low unless this is a fire sale

As Mike mentioned in post #2, odometers break on these cars all the time. I suspect that there are many a 993 in the market trading hands that have had the same issue, except for the fact that the unsuspecting purchaser doesn't have a clue!

The fact that this one is disclosed and documented bodes well for the prior owner(s) IMO. If the PPI checks out and you can don't have a short time horizon or plan to flip the car, I think there may be some value to be had here in the 28 - 30K range.

Good luck! Always interesting to hear of other's adventures.
Bob
