How do you hook up the airbag so there wont be a SRS light?

I want to get a 3-spoker and have it refinished in Alcantera but not sure what kind of stiching I should use.

What do you guys think?
Red?
Grey?
Black?
White?

My car is black on Cashmere.
THANKS, Paul.

Everything is plug 'n' play. Here's the wheel I got from Eric here a few weeks ago when he had a bunch for sale:

I was actually looking at a 997 the other day. The car looked awesome, but the one thing that dissapointed me was the steering wheel. It just looked plain boring and very skinny. I like them small and fat ;-) The steering whell to me is a vital part of the driving experience.

I meant it's a new part rather than a take-off. There are a number of versions by color, carbon, alcantra and one wheel with a thicker grip surface. Here is a picture from Suncoast Porsche. Gert sells the part too. The thicker wheel was an option on 996 cars. I had one on my '04 GT3.

The 3 spoke wheel airbag is plug an play, no mods needed.

I made the change because my air bag was 14 years old and getting ready to be replaced (the dealer can check for changes in impedance (?)). I had heard that airbags are only certified for 10 years. My dealer tells me that's not necessarily the case but my air bag was starting to show signs. Frankly, I like the 3 spoke wheel much better and the air bag was a great excuse. The air bag is not cheap.

That's why they put the 993 wheel in the 996. So you wouldn't vomit.

I'd go with black. It doesn't look out of place on any interior color and it's the easiest to sell later if you decide.
