I spent nothing - nada. But then again, I only got the car in November. I did put about 500 miles on her before putting her away for the winter. Here's to 2010.

That's amazing! So much for our cars costing a fortune to maintain. You are in a column of your own is my guess (for folks that owned and drove their car all year). I doubt anyone else on Rennlist spent $0!

It was good fortune.

It may be prudent to put your savings from this year into an escrow or high yield type account for future maintenance/modification projects.

I look at my Porsche as disposible income and whatever I throw at it is what I throw at it. I have dropped as much as $7k in 1 year and as little as $230 for an oil change.

In 8 years, I have probably dropped $12k into my C4 so $1500 a year on average. What I can say its a very well maintained vehicle and Im **** about maintainence.

Im one of those people who does whatever they want with their income and no one breathes down my neck on what I do with it.

I made money with my 993 this year!! Sold a bunch of old 993 stuff that I had sitting in the garage.

Told my wife..."See honey?, the 993 is the best investment we have..." (not sure if she bought it or not)

Good advice. I bought my car one year ago, so this was a 'sorting' year and it's not over. 90K service, plug wires, rear dam and a/c recharge so far, so not cheap but she's runnin' good Brakes/rotors all around and front tie-rods are next, then I'm set for awhile. I'm not including recent paint work, door/trunk/window seals, windshield etc., because it was discretionary. Should I?
