I don't have a pic handy but the hollow spokes are very easy to differentiate from the solid spoke twists. the hollow spokes are smooth and flat on the back side of each spoke. the solid spoke wheels have a deep groove on both edges of each spoke running the length of the back of each spoke. very obvious.
Thanks Stace!

So am I correct then in determining that my 2S which came with 18 inch turbo twists as a factory option, has the hollow spoke wheels? The back of the spoke is flat (no indentation) and the valve stems are metal. Hot damn!

So the optional 18 inch turbo twists on my 2S are hollow spokes.
And here I thought that I would one day upgrade to hollow spokes! Check that off the list. A late Christmas present! You guys are great - it's amazing how much I learn here.
Happy New Year everyone.
Thanks for the picture ElferPilot.

I told Roche to buy them from me so they stayed with the car.

Those are Roche's wheels, I had these on when he bought it. Don't blame him for changing as I think they would have been better on a darker car.

Yeah, they were pretty blingy. They are RH 3.6 3 piece. Think they were 18x8.5 and 18x11 - the lip on the rears was pretty cool.

See, they do look much better on darker colored cars. By the way, it was these wheels that Roche fell in love with - he had to have the car. I really should have put the turbo twists back on before selling. But once he saw those wheels, he wouldn't let me :- )
How's the car running - it was absolutely perfect for me. Tight as new and ran like a top. You should get some snow tires and take a run up to Flagstaff this winter - the car with snow tires is truly amazing. Plus, you will get a ton of stares as you out perform almost every other car/truck. Driving it in a virgin snow several winters ago is probably my fondest memory of that car.

Pegasis,
I would like to thank you for your part in maintaining, modifying this car. I remember the first time I saw Roche's post, and I knew right then.. "I may have found one". I've put roughly 2500 miles on since delivery in October, several spirited runs into the AZ mountains (no way to any thought of snow touching this car...ever again). This car is absolutely incredible. You and Roche delivered a car that I have dreamed of owning for many years....what's wild is the car continues to exceed my highest expectations.....I have discovered/experienced not a single mechanical flaw, no leaks, no CEL issues, it's like a brand new car.....justified looking for a higher mileage car because I feel guilty about how many times I find an excuse to drive it. I've driven 86 miles round trip for mexican food, just to justify getting it out of the garage.
But it's the weekend mountain runs that have been so perfect. The exhaust, Fister III, is incredible, the car handles as though the suspension mods were done last week.....interior is outstanding. Needless to say anymore, this is a great car.
The hard part now is deciding whether or not to "track" the car. I'm only interested in local PCA Driver's Ed days....not interested in anything but being able to drive the car like it's meant to be driven...however, it's so d%$n good, I hate the thought of doing any harm.
Thank you again for your part in making it happen. If you're ever in Phoenix, stop by and drive it again for old times sake!

Denny,
So glad you are enjoying it as much as I did - I had hoped to have the car the rest of my life... it was that good!
