Talking Anybody else crazy enough to create a web site about their car?

I'm suffering from some serious cabin fever... I got the C4S in late October and wasn't able to spend a enough (like there is ever enough!) time with it before Winter. And since I won't be able to drive it for a few months I keep thinking about it. One of the things I did was create a web site.

Anybody else done that? Show us what you've got!

Here is the C4S site: http://web.me.com/ilko/C4S/ (still trying to think of a cool domain name I can buy)

Here is the old RSA: http://www.rennsportamerica.com/ and from when it was orange: http://web.me.com/ilko/RSA_Orange/

The best one I've see so far is the one created by the chap who was selling his black turbo a few months back. Pong also had a very nice one, actually there's quite a few good ones around. Comes in handy when you're ready to sell. Your old one looks real good too.....

Geek!

. Your cars are worthy of having a website. I still have a thing for the old black & orange.

Well, here's the one I did about 4 years ago (before 18" turbotwists, 3 spoke steering and a number of other mods):

http://srlx.com/p-car/index.shtml

Haven't been real anxious to sell, so the price remains high. But "everything I own is for sale" continues to be my motto. . .

Mine started as a site about my car at http://993C4S.com however, it quickly morphed into something much more.... Kind of like making mods. A very slippery slope. Now, it's http://PorschePurist.com

The site in my signature focuses mostly on the Westfield, but I also have short sections on the 993 and 951.

Here's mine. Pretty simple and quite outdated, but in addition to some pics of my 993, it has a page on my visit to Intermeccanica and a page of 356 Outlaw photos.

Congratulations on your success -- I like your site, & am often referred to it.

Have always admired your Porsche taste, & appreciate content on your site, such as the fog light to brake light DIY.

As requested, here's Speedy's site, currently featured in my signature block, as well -- click here: 993Speedster.shutterfly.com. (Then select "Full Screen" - top right.)

It's a slideshow recently put together by a friend who's a start-up professional photographer. If anyone wants to order high-resolution prints, it's convenient + she'd appreciate it

Thank you! There is a 993 5 Brake Light how-to in the works, I have the parts, just need to find the time to install and document it.

I'm not sure I would spend the time hosting my own site as opposed to using something like CarDomain.

With that said here is the ride page for my 993. http://www.cardomain.com/ride/3814848

Oh, and I don't have to worry about hosting security and I have an easy to use UX for updates.

Why not; its the best way to share ideas and information.

I started my own web site (with zero experience) back in 1995 when I started posting pics of my Alps motorcycle tours. Soon thereafter, I added tech stuff and maps.

When I bought my first Porsche a few months back, I added a gallery just for the car. Unfortunately it isn't nearly as informative as the motorcycle side of my site.
