...so the wife says, hey, the UPS guy just delivered 4 boxes and he said that they were wheels. I said, yes dear, they are Kinesis Supercups for the Porsche. ...so the wife says, where did you get the money for new wheels? I said, the same place we got the money for the new $3k refrigerator you had delivered last week. ...so the wife says, oh, yeah, they look really nice!

TIMING is everything!

Great analogy. I also spin but never as good as a flat 6.

The iPod does hum but if you load it with music files it sounds a lot better.
And the motor does hum but if you load it with a Fister Stage III it sounds a lot better.

How about this one....my Ex-wife, takes a couple of rides in my C4S, drives it a couple of times and says to me, I'd like to learn to double clutch.....I said, "In this car"?.......she's a great woman, remains a life long friend and tomorrow we head out for a Christmas Day drive to Prescott, AZ, up the backroads for late breakfast, a bloody mary, and the outstanding trip home....doubtful that she'll be practicing her double clutching tomorrow.

Harry, a Ferrari might compliment your RS but don't even think of replacing it.

My wife said to me last week "why not treat yourself to a newer 911 as you've worked hard"...best dang Christmas present I've ever received!

I wanted to join you all in 993 ownership but the allure of a newer 911 proved fatal. Merry Christmas all!

When I first picked up my C4S from FL, I drove it all the way back to DC and never once touched the radio/cd player. Since then, I've driven x-country and back with not a single tune played. I love that angry racy visceral sound of the engine as it revs up!!

And you lucky few with the wives that understand, good for you...

Have you guys seen or heard this recent thread?

or this one, I know I know... but if you love the sound of engines/exhausts, you can't ignore this one
