Default NEED HELP IN FRANKURT, GERMANY

There is a Porsche part that I want to buy. It's just outside Frankfurt, but the seller won't ship to the US. It weights about 30 pounds and will easily fit in a box about 22"x22"x10" with lots of newspaper for cushion. It's used and a pretty durable part. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get this done with minimal seller help?

You need a freight forwarder...in German, ein speditioner. The forwarder can pick up the carton, schedule it for shipment via ship or air (depending on how fast you want to get it and how much money you want to spend), insurance and make out all the customs forms, etc. You should be able to contact one in any major U.S. city that handles international freight. Good Luck!

+1. You can't get help without telling us what P-car part you're getting. Us geeks want to know!

you think I'm going to invite someone to poach this "extreme high demand part that every Porsche owner would give his left nut for." Not a chance!

If you want to be more specific for me, and provide better details, PM me. If it is shippable via USPS, he could send it to me here, and I put it in the APO. Then all you pay is normal USPS rate from NYC to your location.

Of that I am aware-Thanks and I hope you'll keep that great offer on hold for a few days while I take a look at some of the shipping options on Monday, when I can get some answers from UPS, FedEx etc. They might be able to handle the whole thing for me.
