You have a 993 and you want the cheapest ducktail?? Spend for the best, not cheapest. All about fiberglass prep, paint and install. While there are other options, I have the Getty on both the 993 and 997 and both are perfect.

Unique offering on the market now by GT3 Tek. A ducktail that your body shop epoxsies to your existing OEM decklid. A very cost effective option IMHO. I have their RS splitters and RS skirts and my body shop said they were a breeze to install and fit perfectly. Worth a look...

I've got a GT3Tek front spoiler on my 996 and it was a good fitting, cost effective part. I also had one of their rear wings on the car before I changed to a GT3 wing. GT3Tek's parts seem to be good quality and fit well. However I would sure be reluctant to epoxy anything to my stock deck lid. Kind of eliminates the option of going back to your stock lid, doesn't it?

I'm not changing the rear deck lid on my 993S. But I do love the look of a duck tail on the 993.

Cheers.

I assume all these mods are being tested for actual aero efficiency, and that they are not making handling worse, if not dangerous. Sort of like when the turbos first came out and everyone was slapping whale tails on their 911s, often without making the appropriate changes to the front end. While the duck tail might look cute in a retro way, anyone have proof it is actually better than the stock spoiler?

Both work great for me with noticeable 993 engine running cooler per the air deflection down into engine compartment as was the intent of the original 1973 RS and later ducktails. If it is a problem, why is Porsche putting on the current 991 Sport and selling it as a kit to fit current 991?

Wow, looks great. All I'd do is add the Carrera badge.

Well done ducktails are so cool.

I am torn on the Carrera 4S badge vs decal...or even just going incognito. Decisions, decisions...
