...my experience with the bike...the thought of deer and elk...verhag
It was a near miss with one, on my R1150RS at about 140 km/hr, that prompted my retirement from riding, and the purchase of my 993.

Which has filled in nicely.

When you get up to Alpine, do you drive the route back through Show Low, or just back track? That looks like a nice loop.

Alpine to Show Low, then it was a toss up between coming back down Salt River Canyon to Globe, (beautiful run) or, across the Rim to Payson and back down the Bee Line. Took the Bee Line (87) this time...a lot of nice sweepers...divided hwy...it was dusk and I elected to avoid Salt River Canyon, two lane, with greater potential for deer, etc.

Sounds like a nice trip. I was out that way last January but unfortunately without the Porsche. I have fond memories of Phoenix as I bought my car there in January of '08 and drove it home. Driving up to Vegas I seem to remember a few too many law enforcement types. Driving east I saw lots of nice open roads and my first tarantula I can't wait to take my car back to her first home one day.

Any new pics of the "RS" ?

No new pictures yet. It is going to the shop tomorrow for a little fine tuning. This thing RUNS LIKE CRAZY. Robert is in love lol
We are waiting on the German Squareweave carpet to come in and then move onto the interior.

We didn't get the snow and now they are calling for it next Sunday. I'll believe it when I see it. Let me know when you
can make it up.

Denny,

What a beautiful car and what stunning scenery, and a great write-up. Thanks for sharing.

All the best,
