Default WTB: CDR220

Is anyone out there looking to sell a CDR220? Preferably with the upgraded faceplate, but a standard one in nice shape will do.

I just called Becker ( (201) 773-0976). They are selling refurbished CDR 220s for $350. The face plate conversion is another $100. Then shipping. That would put it close to $500. It would have a one year warranty though. You may want to post on the 996 board. Good luck......

Chuck, thanks for the info. I was hoping to keep my overall cost down by picking up the unit for less than $350 from Becker, figuring that I'd have to drop th $100 for the faceplate and I want to get an i-pod cable too. I posted on 996 site as you suggested.
Thanks

I got mine off eBay. Price vary widely and so does quality of the item, obviously. Good luck.

I've got one (actually, two) for sale, and I'm local. Doesn't have the upgraded faceplate. Both are in great condition, come with codes.

I'm in TX until Saturday, but will be around all weekend.

Send me a PM, and we'll see if we can work something out.

The one in the for sale forum is for a CR-220 (cassette) rather than a CDR-220 (CD).

Cdr220 is not worth it, if you have a CDR210 stick with it.

I like the CDR 220 better. The reception and sound is better (IMHO) and I perfer the ***** over the rockers.

I have the 210, but it's missing that tiny little square piece on the front (seems to have just fallen out) and the radio reception is horrible! I wanted to go with the 220 get the ability to connect my ipod -- I understand it can't be done with the 210 ... and hopefully get better radio reception.

Good call, completely missed that it was short a letter
