I bought off of e-bay for <$200. Faceplate is not in great condition, but since that is being swapped out for the 993 plate, I am not too concerned. I have seen them in the $250 range too.

The CR 220s are a much better deal if you plan on using an iPod hook up and won't use CDs. Or, if you have a CD player in the trunk and don't plan on using an iPod.
I just bought a CR 220 on eBay for $20 and $12.50 for shipping.

I may be selling my Traffic Pro. I bought it last year for $300 plus $50 for the GPS antenna. I was thinking $275 including shipping.

The CDR210 is the CD player (CR210 was the cassette version) that was available on the 993 from the factory. It will also drive a CDC3 changer but, according to Becker, it cannot be made to work with an i-pod. The CDR220 is the CD player (CR220 also cassette version) that came with the 996 and Boxsters -- it has an AUX Mode option that allows you to put an i-pod in place of the CDC3 changer. Becker sells a cable that you plug in place of the CD changer in the back of the unit and connect the other end to your i-pod ... so you cannot use both the i-pod and changeer with it ... it's a choice between the two.

Sorry, I thought you were asking for the difference that was driving my decision to switch over. I'm hopeful that Chuck is correct about the improved reception and sound - I obviously can't speak to that since I'm still in the process of getting my hands on a 220.
While we are at it, there have been some threads posted stating that the display of the 220 is hard to read in a 993 because of it's location in the dash. Most 993 owners get an updated face-plate that addresses that problem. -- again however, I can't say from personal experience
