Does anyone know a way to get the aluminum ring inset (insert) like on the turbo and Carrera 2s dial option?

I am not talking about the brushed aluminum part that goes over the entire ring.
Also, not talking about the extremely shiny (blingy for me) rings available on the net.

Any ideas?
(sorry for the thread hijack.... but it is probably better than starting a new thread).

See attached picture below of OEM porsche gauge with inner ring painted silver :

Those are aluminum rings that go over (inside and outside) of the gauge ring.

Compare the picture below (Rennline) to the one I posted above :

Ciao!
I'm searching how i will put on my gauges the "silver ring" like the OEM !
There is not on my OEM black gauges . and for a complete and correct conversion it's necessary also the little "silver ring" inside the glass .... Why there are many alu/white red etc.. dials faces (Techart, Gemballa, FVD, etc..) but nobody never do the same OEM "silver ring"?
There is one in black on the stock ?Or not? It's only paint different or is a piece a part?
How i can? Do you have any ideas?

I love the "original look" and without this 5 little "silver ring" it's not.... like the original !

Many thank's for the help!

There was a group buy for those silver rings many years ago. I got a set of these for the cab and the look is a bit more subtle than the bigger silver/chrome gauge rings (which I have on the turbo from the prior owner)

I think you are after the one's by Chris Walrod. There was a group buy of his machined aluminum rings several months ago. He might have some extras, they were around $70-80.

The first set on there are the large rings that go over the entire outside ring, the second bunch look to be the ones that sit just inside the outer black ring, on the outside of the glass. I don't know if anyone makes rings that go inside the glass.

I think the only way to source the interior rings is to find a set of OEM silver gauges and remove them.
I had looked into it when I had my silver faces installed and IIRC that was supposedly the only way.
If we could find a kind enough donor, and there was enough interest, maybe we could get Chris to mill some...

I believe TECHART made the OEM version so if you find the Techart one you should be fine.

Ran across this DIY gauge face project. This writeup is for a corvette, but can be adapted to a 993. If your handy, you could have the coolest gauge faces around. The colors are limited by only your imagination.
