Andreas,

Are you a trained designer? I noticed your handwriting and obvious design skills, so I figured I would ask.

I am currently building one and was planning to mount it on the wall, but then you have the cord hanging down.

Moffat - it was an absolute pleasure working with you and I thoroughly enjoyed creating something that should give you many, many years of enjoyment!

The first one I made hangs in our family room, but the wall on which I mounted the clock backs to our mechanicals room. So it was as easy as running the power cord through the wall and plugging it in there.

See the first page of this thread for pics. I simply use the appropriate wall-mount, regulated power supply (in this case, 12v @ 250mA). The clock continues to function as it did in the car (and could be re-used in a 964/993 if needed).

No, I've just always enjoyed breaking and building things.

Very nice Andreas!!! Tim has been talking about the air-cooled clock for some time now.

Moffat - Is it Miller TIME? or... should I say - is it Granville Island Cypress Honey Lager TIME?

I think your lovely wife Michelle will soon be seeking a certain kind of contractor. The kind you don't find in the yellow pages.
