I've found that on my machine that I've checked the "remember me" check box the site is typically normal speed (not fast but manageable). However, on other machines where I haven't done that it's horribly slow to the point of clicking on a link then moving to another tab on my browser to surf somewhere else while the site loads. Perhaps there's a cached value somewhere hosing things up... I'll give that a shot when I'm on a slow computer again.

In the P&C forum, they are saying it is Bush's fault.

Very frustrating. Don't get it what it is to be able to set up a web forum correctly with enough HP. But, I'm just a finance guy so what do I know from the complex world of IT

if it were a DoS attack we would see increased activity on traffic tracking sites like Alexa...

didn't see it during the last alleged attack either.

I would send an PM to IB Adrian. He gave the Mods a brief overview on what Alexa does and doesn't track.

Alexa is a tool bar thing and only those users who have it are counted. In a DoS attack traffic goes down. So, firstly Alexa is not the right tool and secondly a DoS attack blocks access to the site forcing traffic to a near standstill. I was informed at around 4 PM EST that IB had altered firewall settings which should end the nuisance. The site seems to have been good since then.

Best,
