Gemballa body kit on a 993 C2S-opinions

its not horrible looking but it looks glued on.....IMO the best aftermarket stuff looks like it could have been a factory option like the RS stuff or Aerokit.
What to do: factor into the price removal of the sideskirts or replacement with some other style that covers the hole
negotiate the premium out of the price, its gone for now. In 20 yrs you can return to stock and no one will care but in this case the C2S premium for an 'unmolested' example today has sailed.
if not, walk, it will always bother you and why spend the $$ having to look at it every day

I'm not even sure now that these are genuine Gemballa aero bits. The rear wing doesn't have the integrated brake light (was it available without?), plus the rims appear to be Competition knockoffs (spokes on the true Comps are not smooth).

I'm considering this car but found out its necessary cut the rear fenders to accommodate the vents on the side skirt.
To me this sorta kills a large portion of the market, probably reduces desirability/resale value and opens one up to jibes and snickers from the purists.
I'm on the fence as I don't hate or particularly like the bodykit.
I would appreciate some honest thoughts.

Here's a Twin with a little more miles a little less money, at a Dealer:

I recently had the same issue.
I preferred the stock body with no kit, but could live with the kit also.
Mine had the FVD Rear wing and side skirts which I do like, but was not my first choice.
But the price was right in the right location, with the right mods. (Fister III, LSD, Light weight flywheel/clutch and HR springs) I never looked back. This is my first Porsche most likely won't be my last.

Funny - I am looking into putting the Gemballa rocker panels on my 4S. Trying to remove the factory set cleanly
When done right, the entire Gemballa package is pretty clean (bit and pieces is entirely a different thing). The wheels look like RH wheels - definitely not the Gemballa Competition. Competitions are Speedline Corsa made for Gemballa - good wheels.
I say, make an an offer that you are comfortable with. Remove the decal on the fenders and enjoy the car (if PPI is clean ofcourse).

Would greatly appreciate any thoughts / comments on this '95 with the Gemballa side skirts and rear wing with integrated brake light... I know its flashy (its a Porsche!) and there are (99,999% sure) probably holes cut in the rear 1/4 panels for the side skirts - brake duct. Overall the integrity seems good... any thoughts? Going to view it up close and personal on Saturday. Thanks.

Although that kit doesn't look as terrible as many other Gemballa offerings, I think the market is limited for a car like that, meaning resale value will be hurt if and when you have to sell it. If you love it, go for it, but there is simply no way I would ever consider a car that has been cut up like that one.

i must be missing something. A 98c2s with only 10k miles for 50k? Iknow the market has softened a bit but it seems like the seller has already reduced the price by near 50% to account for the cosmetics. That could be an awesome driving car with a lot of life in it.
If you are buying to drive and plan to own awhile whats the harm assuming there are no issues? Or bite the bullet and have it professionally returned to stock.
If you are looking for investment then obviously not the car - but is any car? First time some texter rear ends it you’ll b in a similar situation.
