Welcome and way to go! Nice ride! When you drive the car from cold, you'll see the oil temp gauge rise. It'll get to about 8 o'clock, then rise up to about 9, then drop back to 8. That tells you that the valve has opened. You should now be able to get an accurate reading from the gauge, not before. As always, the dipstick is the definitive source. BTW, if you follow the cartoon "Get Fuzzy", isn't Satchel Pooch from Nova Scotia?

Nice car, very nice.....nobody reponded to your pressure gauge comment....pegged near the top under load...is normal....pressure will fall off at idle.

The 993 dry sump oil system contains nearly 12 quarts. I have a feeling you could drive the car for years without ever checking the oil - and never risk actually being 'low' on oil. But that's not how we treat these machines.

Congrats on a beautiful find.

Very pretty car. Love the sport seats.

Is the twin grill an option or an aftermarket piece?

Thanks for the comments!

I will post more pics soon.

Vincer - the sport seats are great, I love them. The twin rear grill is an S feature I believe.

Very nice. Hope you get a chance to enjoy it before winter. Even if you don't you'll be able to enjoy it in your garage. Welcome aboard!

Default oil gauge solved

Hey guys, thanks for the input. I added half a quart of oil and the gauge reads fine. Good to know that there wasn't a problem, also good to know that the gauge would indicate a problem long before there was one!

Beautiful C2S - I am new to the site as well - is that beauty a Canadian car or US model brought up?
