Default AWD -> 2WD conversion

Yes, I did a search on this (in here and the 993 turbo forum).

Yes, I already pm'ed viperbob.

Howerver, I have not yet gotten a respons back and I wanted to see if anyone had the full parts list I need to get to do this conversion (I have some "sources" for parts so I would prefer sourcing stuff myself, but I'm not completely against lining the pockets of vb).

Also, MarkD, do you still have the brackes to support the tranny? How much are you letting go of those things for? Thanks,

Here's what I just got. If you don't want the SSK from FD Motorsports you'll need to get some other Porsche parts... but might as well right?

2 x 99334115501 Shake proof ring (ABS ring)
1 x 99350105900GRV Shifter mount plate (shift box)
1 x 96442413102 Shifter Tube (goes inside shift box)
2 x 96442402800 Bushing (for shift box, supports tube)
2 x 99917800702 Snap Ring (holds tube in shift box)
2 x 90008212309 Hex head screw (BIG bolt, replaces axle stub)
2 x 99908463402 Hexagon Nut (BIG nut)
1 x SSK1 Short Shift Kit (FD Motorsports)
1 x 2WDConv Conversion Trans Mount (FD Motorsport)

Reiner,
Dan just posted the parts list but if you need any help or have questions, fire away here or shoot me an email at fdmotorsports@comcast.net

The SSK Dan listed is actually a lower cost than the OE Porsche parts that you need to do the conversion.

Seems to be the season for this project. There are 3 or 4 people doing this right now.

+1 Mark has been a great help for my winter project (he's the one who got me the list in the first place).

Hi Guys,

Mark, I traded a couple of emails with you yesterday. Reiner and I are going down the same path. In fact, we live about 20 minutes apart and it was his lift that I used to pull my car apart. In fact, it is he who pulled me into the dark netherworld of the 993. . . .

Unbeknownst to him, I spent a couple of hours pouring over the forums yesterday and didn't find exactly what Reiner didn't find. Thanks for posting the list Nollie.

Reiner, I will give you a call here shortly.

Folks,
If you need parts, I have everything for converting a 964 C4 to a C2, including a short bell G50 (for cup flywheels) with the LSD that is electronically driven like on the G64, front tranny mount, shifting stuff, etc. They may fit a 993.

I'll post some pics and prices if any interest..

Thanks, but I have already sourced all of the goodies in the list. Total comes roughly $1300 when you include the FDM goodies.

I'm running the stock one... Alex is going to get the OS Giken, others would, I am sure, get one of the Guard GT ones...

What rear diff you have is independent of having AWD or not.
