I'm curious about this car. It seems it's a C4S w/ std. brakes and not the Turbo brakes. (due to the 3/4 hole pattern and not the 4/5 hole pattern) Am I mistaken on this?
In case the link is dead it's ebay (completed) auction # 160371427256
C4S on ebay
There's no photo of the option sticker.
It has nice Sport seats but the CarFax is pretty crappy, it's bounced around a lot between several dealers and auctions. Suspicious to me.
Thoughts?
This is what I'm talking about, tops is this C4s, bottom is another C4S.

I wasn't sure what you meant until I studied your pictures, you mean the drill pattern on the rotors.
If you take a look at the 'Model Code' numbers in their list below, they give '993340' which is a C2S. A C4S would be '993140'. Then in the powertrain description they state 'Rear-Wheel Drive' ...
SHOWROOM CONDITION ON THIS CARRERA 4S.
Bodystyle:
2 door Coupe
Transmission:
Manual-6
Ext. Color:
Arena Red Metallic
Int. Color:
Black w/Front Bucket Seats
Mileage:
45,275
Stock Number:
11986
VIN:
WP0AA2993VS321749
Model Code:
993340
POWERTRAIN*
Sequential multi-point fuel injection
Torque: 250 lb.-ft. @ 5,250RPM
Engine liters: 3.6
Number of valves: 12
Transmission: 6 speed manual
Recommended fuel: regular unleaded
Horsepower: 282hp @ 6,300RPM
Fuel economy city: 17mpg
Fuel tank capacity: 19gal.
Drive type: rear-wheel
Cylinder configuration: H-6
Fuel economy highway: 25mpg
So, they didn't see the 'missing' front differential when they inspected it? Previous owner always wanted a C4S so he re-badged his C2S and didn't realize the possible re-sale loss?

I usually don't pay much attention to that bottom (filler) info because so often it's just a copy/paste from some other ad and it's not unusual for it to be wrong. I usually go by the option sticker but in this case there's no photo of the option sticker. In this case it appears that the filler portion of the ad is correct and the title is wrong.
Yes, these guys have no clue what they have or else they would have emphasized the Sport Seats a lot better at least.
thanks

They are turbo brakes, look at the side profile of the car and the position of the caliper. The drill holes on the rotor indicate that perhaps the Rotors were changed to an OEM rotor like Zimmerman.

According to Holbert Porsche dealer ppi everything checked out fine. They said the brakes are oem.
The car is at Protosport in NJ now and received a clean bill of health. I asked them to inspect the brakes to be extra sure and they reported that the brakes are oem and rotor pattern is the same as 2 other 993 c4s and a 993 turbo in the shop. My car has cross drill pattern 5/4 in the front and 4/3 in the rear but I forgot to ask if the cars in the shop had the same setup. I have seen pictures with 5/4 in the rear and 4/3 in the front. Common sense tells me that 5/4 should be in the front and 4/3 in the rear as the car needs more brake cooling in the front when heavy braking. I will verify when I pick it up but can someone verify what their setup is?
Best Regards,
Tito

just got the car back from Protosport. Corner balanced, aligned, oil change, and complete assesment. She's a keeper ![Smilie](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Saw a few turbos with the same rotor pattern.
Just dropped it off at buddies shop to get clear bra on hood, fender, bumper, and mirrors.

Congrats on the car. I don't know where I heard about the 4/5 hole pattern but several folks I talked to were under the same impression. I guess it's just another curve they throw at us to keep us on our toes.
Again. congrats on the car.

Thanks Bill! Hole pattern would have been the least of my worries but it's this type of great detailed observation that helps prospective buyers on here. In my case I saw this post precisely when I was working out a deal and made me request inspection of the brakes in ppi, amongst everything else. I'm glad it turned out to be a good clean car and has found a good home with a fellow Rennlister.
