Darrin & Mark,

I just want to say thanks for all your help the other night. On the drive home I did notice that the shift linkage felt a little better even though I already had the Golden Rod previously!! I think that it was the combination of all things including new transaxle oil!! That stuff was old and nasty.

And I agree with Mark I like the taller RS shifter. I like how it is closer to the steering wheel and easier to reach.

Thanks Again,
Darren
(the other Darren)

PS. Call me when you want me to p/u your old waste oil.

Unavoidable? Higher **** and shorter stroke are both good (have fun with that, kids).

More than likely I will order the shifter and rod when you get this sorted.

Cool, thanks Darren. It was a good time, for sure.

oh yeah, I wasn't clear. Sorry!
The lever wouldn't sit higher in the AWD cars since you can't move the tube the shift assembly slides on (as you can in the 2WD cars).

The bad part is that this puts the bottom of the lever too low in the chassis. That is the part we are working to resolve. Tunnel cover clearance.
The throw is still reduced, same as the RS lever provides in 2WD cars.

Not touching the higher **** and shorter stroke comment

Ahhh, all cleared up. I would prefer my **** to stick up more, but can deal with it as is. Having a shorter throw on my **** will be nice.

I hear cosmetic surgery can make that dream a reality.

As for the shift lever, we could extend that to your spec pretty easily
