Default Help needed with Emblem ID

Maybe I need to ask on other Porsche forums but maybe someone could identify this emblem. It is about 1 + 1/2 inches with a single post on the back. Thanks in advance if anyone knows or could steer me in the right direction.

Isn't that the one that fits on a steering wheel? I have a 3 spoke wheel with a silver crest, but I have also seen them with a colored crest. I have also seen the colored crest on the 4 spoke wheel. As far as the pin on the back I am not sure. Is it the same size as the one on your steering wheel?

That's definitely the one for the steering wheel. You can order them from Pelican. You just break the stem off the back and file it down. Then you can use a light glue or caulk to stick it on.

The one I ordered and put on my 993 4-spoke (before replacing it with a 996 3 spoke) didn't have the peg on the back to break off, it just had 'stickum' and a plastic peeloff. If there's a peg it must be for the 356 bootlid.

Does it end up in your grille when the airbag blows?

Some mixed opinions. Maybe someone else here on the 993 board can take a look and then I can post on the 356 forum.

Actually, yes...but my dentist likes the Porsche imprint.

OK, I guess this would be a $2000 question on Jeopardy. Thanks anyway.
