Unhappy OT: VCR car show is dead!

Well, I showed up at 6 am at VCR this morning. I was hoping to see some cool cars and maybe Jay Leno.

There were 5 of us and a patrol car:-(

1 hour parking max is the new rule. Even the cops are all bummed out about it. I guess the shopping center pulled the plug in September.

Only about 20-30 cars later met at a starbucks coffee, on Plummer St.

What a sad day!

Let's start one in Redondo! I vote the Howe's parking lot on 190th.

Is this the Calabasas/Woodland Hills one, or the Irvine one?

Calabassas

Irvine is still going strong because it is at the Ford/Mazda center and they support the cause. However, before Irvine, it was at Crystal Cove and we got booted from there by the business/residents. I would figure that a large group meeting on a Saturday morning from 6am to 9am would be good for business but apparently they felt otherwise.

I am sure that the Calabassas event will re-emerge somewhere...

Well, since I have lived in Calabasas for 20-some years I can understand. Im not a big fan of the attitude of a lot of people in this town
(even though that parking lot is technically Woodland Hills)
