Another new member comes out! w/ pictures
Hey all,
I've been a member for a short time. Got a '95 993 a few weeks ago, but I haven't been able to take pictures. First, I have to thank Warpig (Nick) from this board, I met up with him and talked over some buying tips, before I made a trip to South Dakota to look at a car. Ended up buying it. Drove it back without problems. Have put on about 1500 miles without issues. Very happy so far! My wife and I will probably will use it for DE sessions next summer, since we sold our SCCA Swift DB6 Formula Continental this year.
Info about the car. It is very original and stock, black on black 21,000 mile C2. I'm the third owner. 1st owner put about ~14,500 miles over 10 years, second owner put on ~5,000 miles over 4+ years. So it hasn't seen snow or salt. No rust on exhaust. Has all the tools, manuals, original window sticker, and even the plastic bags for a flat tire. It now has a JVC KD-R600 replacing the cassette deck.
Options:
220 Locking Diff
224 ABD
398 17" 5 spoke
437 Comfort Seat
454 Cruise
490 Hi Fi Sound
650 Sunroof
XD4 Crest Caps
I've already used this forum to make some improvements and repairs. I'm now up on sunroof repairs after replacing the right cable. Replaced the weak hood and trunk struts. Moved the passenger seat mounting back. Polished the exhaust tips. Removed the 6 disc CD changer. Replaced the cassette holder with a console cup. It only had one remote, so I bought another and will be making a trip to the dealer to get the code..
Thanks to everyone who contributes to the forum. As a new member I appreciate the sharing of knowledge and frendship here. I'm learning all the time.

great car - congrats - that is really low mileage... you should have many great miles in it. drive it. that's what they were built for!!! let the slippery slope begin!!! (good color choice of course!)

Mine had one almost identical, although the **** was over by the cig lighter... it's a K40 radar detector (you can see the sensor in the front license plate frame).

Thanks for the kind words. Yes, the mystery **** is the radar detector. There are 2 LEDs next to the tach for the front and rear sensors. Its also supposed to have laser defuser, which I thought was the front plate frame.
Slippery slope indeed. I've got a used set of hollow spoked turbo twists that need some painting to keep me busy over the winter.

So then what 18" tires are you looking at?
With the 18s, you will need to get it lowered!
Good luck with your "new" car!

Welcome aboard Dan, great find. Lots of new people lately and everyone seems to be posting pics, GREAT! Low miles, classic blk/blk, and unmolested. Perfect candidate for the slope.
