This C2S has been for sale for a relatively long time. Not perfect. And when someone does not fix the easy stuff, and 12 year old stuff needs some updating, it does not give me the warm and fuzzy feeling, unless we are talking about a price in the $30s.

 

Another example of low mileage, in and of itself, not being the holy grail?

 

The rust is totally typical. The one curb rash is around $150 to completely refinish. Hood dent would run around $100 from a PDR guy.

But yeah, it sure sounds like the guy got a bit lazy on the maintenance.

 

Two wheels need refinished and the dent cannot be completely removed by PDR...

 

I have been very temped by this car. I was hoping it was a C4S and had sport seats. I spoke to the owner twice now and was also left with an impression the car was not maintained by my standards. Although $45K is a fair price, the Turbo is not too far off, $50-$53K ('96 with ~40K miles). Also, very temped by this 2006 997 S:

So you're in Heidelberg. I was there many years ago. I rember going to the castle and walking around on top of what I remember was being touted as the worlds largest wine cask. Cool place, Germany overall.

Yes it's mine, I bought it from a guy in San Diego a little over 1 1/2 years ago.

The color is Zenith Blue Metalic, a pretty cool shade of blue. It's one of those colors that looks different from different angles and in different light. It can even look like purple in real bright light.

I have the color and some other particulars in my sig, which doesn't show right now. I let my membership expire, I'll resubscribe soon.

For those following along...the Silver C2S bid to $40,500 and was a no sale. My offer was $43,000 with new tires, but was declined prior to the auction ending. The seller's bottom line was $44,000 as is.

 

IMHO if you can find a 993TT for $5k to $8k more, then this non-turbo is priced too high.
