Default We Could NOT be Porscheless for too long. UPDATE 4/19 w/ BUILD PICTURES

BUT it is not a 993 this time.
We thought we could be Porsche less for a while, but the drug is too strong and we are such wimps. A good spanking is needed.

Here's the new toy:

We have all the records and it will take a while to go through them all. This is what I know so far:

1987 Carrera based '73 RS Tribute (Needs an R Gruppe Invite )
G50 Tranny
Factory Limited Slip
3.2 w/ top-end rebuilt less than 1K miles
New clutch
Sensors
CVs
Bilstein Sports
SSIs
Dansk dual out
Backdated heat
Vented rotors
Steve Wong chip
Paint to sample Glasurit paint in a sort of 356 Heron Grey
All new body seals, window rubbers
New H4s, harness bar (we had to remove it)
3-point strut brace,
7" RSR finish ROTAs with new Yokohama's
Rear brake light
and more..........

It also has a new headliner, but it wasn't installed all that great so we are going to replace it with Alcantera and re-install the sun visors which were removed as they were in a RS. It is brutal driving up her without them.
Also we'll be replacing the seats, not that there is anything Major wrong with them, but being that Robert is tall he needs a seat that can recline so we'll be going for a retro black with hounds tooth inserts look. We also have to move the seat rails back more....

You know we CAN'T leave it like it is

I'm still going to hang around here if you guys don't mind. 993's are STILL my favorite Porsche, although the smell of the interior this one is i even more intoxicating than the 993's were. I might be in trouble.

10/25 UPDATE: GOT BUILD PICTURES FROM THE PREVIOUS OWNER
HOPE IT WORKS:

Wow! Simply stunning.

Details, details please...

Edit: Nice setup. Are the retro body panels OE or CF/FB? How much does it weigh?

That is really nice! Is it an SC based car? Oh, I see, an '87.

Yes it is a 3.2 and it's been chipped.

We were told it weighs 2580 wet Since the car came from Washinton State (via Palm Springs) I tend to believe the wet part.

Not sure about much more than what I already listed above since we got a ton of build receipts with the car that we still have to go through.

THANKS GUYS!

Congrats!

I saw this one listed and if I had to get rid of my longhood and 993 for a single daily driver, this would be a great compromise with improved driveability and timeless looks.

Enjoy!

You made me drag out my laptop so I could see the pictures at the office.

Beautiful! My favorite color too.

Did Callas have something to do with the car or is that your plate frame?

Not sure that this would be a very comfortable daily driver. It is very LOUD, has no air cond. or visors and the seats aren't what you would call comfortable. It lacks in the comforts that a 993 has, that's for darn sure, but then, it's not a 993.......

It is the one that was listed on Pelican, but we didn't know about it at all until it was at the VenturaFest. Robert saw it and bought it with 45 minutes of it's arrival at the event.

No Tony didn't have anything to do with this car..... yet. Tony and I go waaaaay back. He's like a brother to me, you know, since I was already married and all. lol

Oh Alf, You seriously need to be committed. But then, maybe I need to be commited too.

Nope, it's not a Callas car. It was built in Washington State. I just saw the invoice for the paint shop alone: 7 grand +. wow.

You think the engine is clean? You should see the underside. Still Almost LICKABLE and we've been driving the thing for almost two weeks.

This weekend it's going to have two pairs of hands all over it, learning its every nook and cranny.
I find detailing a car very relaxing. Though I'll need another manicure after.

Congrats Joanne. Glad that you and Robert are back in. Beautiful car.

BTW, I can't do Palooza this year. But am going up the weekend prior to run the roads with Dad. Hope you can come back sometime.
