Default The Hunt Begins...

Hi folks,

I'm starting the hunt for my 993. I was thinking either a 95 C2 or 96-98 C2S/C4S. I like the 95s because of the upgrade-ability to the 9M heads/software package and like the C2S's because, well, I like big butts So the first car to think about is this one:

1997 arena red, grey partial leather?, 88,000 miles, will need 90k miles service & brakes (per owner), dealer maintained, stock = no mods, no suspension update, no valve guide replacement, new jersey car (hmmm, snow = rust?). Listed for 32,250.

So is that a fair price for 88,000 miles considering I will need to do the 90k mile service, brakes, install new shocks? What all goes into the 90k mile service? I guess I will ask Rennsport in Sealy tomorrow, but I am a DIY'er so I think I could do most of it myself. At 90k miles, I'm guessing "needs brakes" means new pads all around and new front rotors. Where is a good place to do a PPI in Jersey?

Thanks in advance for any advise,
Alfonso Rodriguez.

Welcome Alfonso. That looks like a very nice car at a good price. Things seem to come up at around that mileage so make sure you have a good handle on recent work and find a reputable shop to do a PPI.

Welcome, enjoy the hunt (and the counseling sessions after it is over--I missed it for months).

Thanks guys for the welcome. I originally wasn't that high on arena red or gray interior, but for some reason, this color combo is really starting to grow on me. The wide bodies are just beautiful period.

There are a couple of nice ones for sale near me ---98 Arctic/Black C4S, 98K miles, all recent work done: $35K, 96 Black/Black C4S with wing, 77K miles, looks fantastic, $35K

I am not quite ready yet but I am tempted...

PM me if you want more info on them

PS- I rather like Arena on the WB's. Midnight blue, black, arena are my top 3 color choices.
