OUCH! Glad all are OK. The kids have one heck of a story to tell this week at school...

Maybe its my paranoia, but if you got airborne, I might pop the wheels off and look carefully for any cracks in the rims before driving too far. Again, maybe just my paranoia, but I found a crack in my original solid spoke C4S rims this year. I didn't hit anything and surely didn't pull a Bo & Luke Duke off an elk!

As a testament to how solid these cars are, it doesn't look all that bad considering the size of an elk.... Like someone else said, damn good thing it was already down and not still standing. Elk through the windshield would have been, dare I say, worse...

I can get you a local name as well. I have only used this shop for upgrades (RS splitters, tail, etc) but they did a great job and they were very timely. I think another RL'er here used the same shop I used after he hit a deer head on in his targa. His damage seemed way more extensive than what I can tell from the pictures. I'm glad to hear everyone is home safe.

I thought I would give everyone an update and thank you for all your support and input.

I had the car towed to Fogg's Auto in Colorado Springs and my insurance (USAA) covered it. John Fogg has been working on Porsche's for over 30 years and has a great reputation from all the research I did. He is going through the car now and working with the insurance company. The good news is that the insurance company will let him use all new OEM parts and the damage is not too extensive. It looks like the spare tire/battery well will have to be replaced. Front bumper and air dam is also being replaced with new.

I feel like I am in good shape and the car will be good as new when John is done with it.

Great news! Good luck with all repairs....and most importantly you and your passengers are ok.

I think Telluride to Delores on 145 might be one of the most enjoyable drives in Colorado. Were you on 145 by any chance when this happened?

Jon,
That sounds like an appropriate solution - let us know how things progress.

Denny - that is a great drive. I wasn't to 145 yet. I was still on 160 just west of Durango.

While you're in there, you may want to upgrade to the ROW bumper with clear corners.
